The Washington Post says Americans received 26.3 billion spam calls in 2018, which is up almost 50% from 2017. After demanding last November the phone industry adopt a robust call authentication system, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's call for implementation has the industry moving forward in 2019, protecting consumers from bad actors with anti-call-spoofing protocols. The major players (Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile) are all looking to implement it soon. Can't wait.
